Mark S. Thompson, DVM, DABVP is a 1985 graduate of North Carolina State University and is a diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners specializing in canine and feline practice. His interests include dermatology, internal medicine, preventative medicine, and dentistry. He joined the hospital in June of 1998 as an associate after 10 years of private practice and 3 years teaching community practice and dermatology at the University of Missouri. In June of 2003 Mark purchased the practice. He is the author of the veterinary text book "Small Animal Medical Differential Diagnosis". Having been well received by the veterinary community it has now been translated into Spanish and Japanese. Dr. Mark lives in Brevard with his wife Sandi and sons Zac, and Andy. They share their home with two dogs, five cats, six horses, three llamas, and two goats. |
Christine C.Y. Weaver, DVM is a 1996 graduate of Purdue University. She came to Brevard Animal Hospital in June of 2003 after practicing in Indiana and Asheville, NC. She lives in Brevard with her husband Patrick, their daughter Ada, son Ben, and their dog Ginger. Her interests include internal medicine, preventative medicine, ultrasonography, and behavior. |

Clyde Brooks, DVM is a 1976 graduate of University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He established his practice in Brevard in 1977, and in December 2005 merged his practice with Brevard Animal Hospital. Dr. Clyde is married to Linda, his bride of 44 years, and has three sons, five grandsons and one granddaughter. His interests include surgery, nutrition and geriatrics. His four-footed companions are Taffy, Teeboo, Baby, Belize and Meezy. His book, "Tending Critters in the Ridges", is scheduled for its third printing in the summer of 2008.

Chad W. Lothamer, DVM graduated from the University of Tennessee in May of 2006. He and his wife Gina arrived in Brevard in June of 2006 and are expecting their first child in June of this year. They live in the Brevard area with their two dogs, Annie and Reno. His interests are in surgery and internal medicine as well as learning all the he can in all areas of veterinary medicine. |
