Betsy - A native of South Carolina, Betsy worked as a Veterinary Assistant for six years prior to coming to Brevard Animal Hospital in 2000. She is part of our medical team providing nursing care to all of our patients including sick and recovering animals. At home Betsy has a house full of animals including nine cats and two dogs. |

Heather - A
1998 graduate of Rosman High School, she began working with
animals in 2000 while attending UNC-Chapel Hill. After
graduating in 2003, she returned to Transylvania county. She
is currently living in the Brevard area with her son
Erik, four cats, one dog. |

Amanda - Amanda has
lived here in Transylvania County for most of her life. She
came to work for us in 2003. She assists our nursing staff in
caring for our patients and is also responsible for care of
boarding animals. Amanda has a German Shepherd mix named
Bocephus, a Lab mix named Dozer, and 4 cows including
Annabelle. |

Diane - A native of
Transylvaia County, she has been a Veterinary Assistant since
1996. She came to us in December of 2005 with Dr. Brooks when
we combined practices. Diane has four dogs; two labs, Emma
and Winston, a miniature Dachshund, Ernie, and a Black and Tan
Hound named Beau. She enjoys hiking and growing orchids in
her spare time. Her husband Richard owns Bear Forge
Blacksmithing. |

Darlene - Settled in Transylvania
County in 1997 from the New England area. Began working with
us in 2002. Married 30 years to Wally. They have two
adult sons and two kitties - Mr. Boopalakis and
T-Bone. |
Danielle - Danielle
moved to Brevard from Long Island, NY in 1998. As an
experienced groomer she runs her own business her home called
"Fancy Paws". She joined our patient care team in
January of 2006. She has 13 dogs, 7 ferrets, and 2
horses. |

Heather - an "Army Brat" she went to High
School and attended college in Augusta, GA where she majored in
English. She was drawn to Brevard by the rock
climbing and mountain biking in our area. After
living in Charleston, SC and Ireland, she has settled down in the
Cedar Mountain area with her dog Fergus, boyfriend Todd, and
his dog Little Girl. |

Jessie - a Lake Toxaway native, Jessie has always loved animals. An internship in high school led to a job and opened the door to a career. She has started in the Veterinary Medical Technology Program at Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College and hopes to return soon. She has one child with four legs, a black and white Boxer mix named Fifty. |
